San Gabriel

Welcome new president, John Melnar 512-497-8284

It is hard to believe that a week before I was writing this update it was snowing here in Georgetown area.  I think we are all ready for some sunshine and warmer weather.  All the recent rains have been a blessing and will continue to benefit our bay systems.

Our Board Members recently got together to work on this year’s banquet.  The date is set for July 29th so mark you calendars now.  The location will again be at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.  This year our big raffle item will be a custom made BBQ Pit which is graciously being created and donated by Babeco Fabrication and Machining.  Babeco has been a big supporter of our chapter for many years.  I would like to also thank other great sponsors such as: A Greater Austin Development Co, Morris Glass, PMB Helin Donovan LLP, Keystone Concrete Placement, and Academy Sports and Outdoors.  All of these groups have been helping us a long time.

We are always looking for more members especially those who would liketo get more involved by becoming a board member.  At our recent Board Meeting we had a couple new faces.  Jimmy and Doug, I hope we did not scare you off and hope to see you at the next chapter meeting.  The more the better, so if you or someone you know is interested in getting involved more, please feel free to contact me. –John Melnar
