Notes / Comments

Our next General Membership meeting and Membership Appreciation fish fry will be held at Houston Distributing starting at 7 PM April 6th. We will have a great speaker and conduct our raffle for lots of excellent fishing equipment. Count on free beer courtesy of Houston Distributing and Miller Lite. Additionally, we will be serving a fried fish dinner for all who join us for the evening.

We have secured an excellent speaker for our April 6th meeting. Dr. Lee Fuiman, Director of the University of Texas Marine Science Institute at Port Aransas, will join us for both the meeting and the fish fry.  He is going to speak to us about the research projects at the facility.  You might remember that in 2008 CCA funded the addition of a new research building at the Institute.  This will be a VERY informative program and one that you will not want to miss.

We need a head count for the fish fry. Please RSVP by email to either nwh_cca2@att.net or kimbrown@ccatexas.org to confirm the number of people in your party. Please note: this year we will charge $10 per person and kids under 12 will eat free. We will collect fish fry dinner money next to the membership table at the door.

We are excited to report on our plans and progress for the Annual Fundraiser Banquet. Our Banquet tickets are printed and will be available at this meeting. Of course, Your help is always welcome. We want your ideas and participation to improve this year’s banquet. Please contact one of our Directors with any suggestions or to volunteer. Again, thanks to all of you who helped make our past programs such a success!

The Northwest Houston Chapter Board wishes to extend their gratitude to Houston Distributing and Miller Lite for their many years of support.

See you at the next meeting
