Currents - Oct/Nov 2017
The Guadalupe Valley Chapter will host its 2017 Annual Banquet on November 2 at the Venue in Cuero, Texas. There are still a few raffle tickets available for the Grand Prize Polaris Ranger 570 Crew Cab ATV. Only 200 tickets were available for this primo vehicle. The drawing will be held at the banquet, and you don’t have to be present to win. Table sales are now open for the banquet that will be a catered event as usual. There will be lots of terrific silent auction items, live auction items and mystery ice chests to vie for. For more information, tickets, auction item donations etc., contact Chuck Howard at (361) 275-9464 or email@example.com.
Our last chapter quarterly meeting was held in Yoakum in August at the Lakeside Club. We had a homemade feed of gumbo and bread pudding, which made for a great turnout. Chapter members who have been fishing on a regular basis over the summer all reported solid catching most of the time. Now that the region has settled with the aftermath of Harvey, most of us will be venturing into “new” old waters to fish. I’m almost certain the bottom structure in the well-trod bays has changed. So this means spending hours re-learning the area again. We are all fine with that, but also know everyone wished we didn’t have to.
Again, if you want tickets, tables or information regarding the Guadalupe Valley Chapter Annual Banquet, give Chuck a call! – Chuck Howard
