The latest from CURRENTS

The Alvin Pearland Chapter Board has been busy planning for 2024! We have been working to organize our Anglers’ Night Out meetings and getting our Fundraising Banquet details lined out.

We have confirmed our dates for our upcoming Anglers’ Night Out events! They will be held on Tuesday April 2, Tuesday May 21, Tuesday September 3, and Tuesday October 22. The meetings will be held at a Big Horn BBQ in Pearland. The speakers will begin at 7 p.m. Come earlier if you want to visit, hang out, and grab a bite to eat!

The speaker for April is going to be Capt. Steve Hoyland from Hoyland’s Adventures. He will be discussing the ins and outs of making a trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica. The May speaker is going to be Capt. Chuck Uzzle of wakesndrakes.com and he will be discussing fishing and current updates for the Sabine Lake area.

Our 2024 CCA Alvin/Pearland Annual Fundraising Banquet is scheduled for Thursday June 20 and will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Pearland. We will be serving a delicious Steak dinner by Joe’s BBQ, having a Sportsman’s Raffle that will include guns, coolers, and optics, live and silent auctions, as well as numerous other raffles. This is an event you won’t want to miss. Reserve your spot now! Banquet Tickets are $75/person, $120/couple, $20/kids. Reserved/Sponsor tables start at $700 for 8 guests. All adult tickets include a CCA membership. Sportsman’s Raffle Tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100.
