June - July Currents Update: Austin CCA Chapter

Wow! Another resoundingly successful Austin Chapter Banquet has come to pass… I have no words that can express how incredibly lucky and grateful we are to have so many hardworking volunteers and generous supporters that make this event one of the premier conservation fundraisers in the nation. We had many of our past sponsors once again show their generosity and support for the cause and many new sponsors that helped make this the best banquet in memory.

Our Banquet Chairmen and Banquet Committee Members deserve a special thanks for their devotion to our mission. Please say thanks to these guys when you have a chance:Ryan Joyce, Neal Meinzer, Scott Sanderson, Ray Mungia, Eric Meissner, Ryan Kasten, Josh Cook, and Steve Boriskie.

It is no secret that each and every one of us comes together once a year, not only to celebrate the conservation of the natural resources that are an integral part of our lives, but more importantly to provide our personal resources to expanding the scope of CCA’s good work. With the post-party euphoria still fresh in our minds, I would like to ask that you take a few minutes of your time to consider who amongst your friends and colleagues would be willing and who would benefit from contributing to the cause.

The time to garner sponsors is not as the banquet approaches next year, but the efforts begin immediately and continue throughout the year. Many companies, who we all know would appreciate and benefit from being part of CCA, need considerable time to vet the opportunity. So if you were at the banquet thinking how your friend’s company would benefit from being involved, then please take the time to provide us with their contact information so we can get them involved. A small effort on your part, such as that, can lead to enormous benefits for all. Thanks for your support! –Scott McGuire
