August - September Currents Update: Austin CCA Chapter

Summer is flying by… and we are all taking full advantage of the benefits of our CCA membership by chasing the reds we worked so hard to put in our bays. Dreamin’ of catchin-up with the red that has a tag! Oh how sweet it would be! Our Anglers’ Night Out get-togethers will be starting again soon. So look out for your newsletters, e-mails and Facebook posts for the upcoming events. Board meetings will beginning before you know it as well. Next time your out on the water, or sitting with friends talking about being on the water, please consider  stepping up your involvement with our chapter. Attending the monthly meetings, corralling donors and blowin’ it out at the banquet are rewarding tasks, but the real benefits are the friends you make, the fishin’ trips with the other board members and the battle with the fish that wouldn’t have been there if not for the work of the CCA. Please lend a hand and continue the good work.  Lettin’ ‘em go, Scott McGuire / Austin Chapter President
