Austin Chapter Angler’s Night Out

Our guest speaker for this meeting will be Mr. Dale Shively, Program Leader for the Artificial Reef Program at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Mr. Shively has been with the TP&WD for 17 years. He has over 28 years of professional fisheries experience, and has worked for the State of Virginia and the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission in Wisconsin before moving to Texas. He holds a Master of Science degree in Oceanography from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. He has also served 20 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was deployed to active duty in Iraq in 2004. Dale and his staff create, manage, and monitor artificial reefs in the Gulf of Mexico offshore Texas and operate a scientific diving program.
